Reunion

When you meet some people in person, at first it’s like seeing photograph at first. One day you see a picture of jeans rolled up taught to white, Protestant calves. With purple-lush sky and green, green Central Park green in the background.

When you rediscover a person you once knew and their body hums like complimentary colors do. That humming, like a sound one can see, is time made visible on the body. And it is only found on the face and in the limbs of those we thought we had permanently lost contact with.
